The Robinson Theatre
Indiana University Southeast's intimate Robinson Theatre, with its thrust
stage and seating capacity of 350, offers a special dramatic experience
for actors and audience alike. Located in the Paul W. Ogle Cultual and Community
Center, The Robinson has proven to be a remarkably versatile setting for
many types of productions, and its cozy atmosphere helps establish a closer
bond between the audience and performers.
The Robinson itself consists of much more than the theatre. It is also
home for a well-equipped scenic studio, a costume shop, dressing rooms,
and a green room. The technical control booths provides students experience
using state of the art Strand computer lighting control equipment and modern
sound reproduction equipment. A small studio serves as a rehearsal area
and classroom. A Blackbox Theatre is currently under construction.
Productions in The Robinson generally run for seven performances.
